Well the first thing is I have a DSLR. So I can keep m shutter open for as long as I want. That shot was actually pretty dark, but with the shutter staying open for that long it appeared light. Also I light my backgrounds sometimes with LEDs. I'll do exposures for 15 minutes sometimes.
im using my brother's cam... Panasonic Lumix DMC-fz10... it's biggest opening is F2.8 and it's longest shutter speed is 80/10 second...
my other cam is just a digicam, Canon Powershot A460... it also has a F2.8 opening and it's longest shutter speed is 15 seconds...
i've seen your works... how come you can have a shot with a light background and still have light drawings? like your photo in flickr when you drew three hearts... i tried it once but my shot resulted to over exposure...
Thanks for all the favorites friend!! I'm excited to see more from you and I'll def give you any tips you'd like. What kind of camera do you have now? Whats the highest exposure you can do? I guess really the best tip I can give is get an SLR and as many flashlights as you can and have fun
